While I don't have any entries for this at the moment (might try to round up some this weekend; might not--end of school year & family life is beyond stressed), I did try to roundup links for the "No Pity, No Shame, No Silence meme that hit LJ a few years ago. 104 posts in my memories, many of which have since been f'locked.

Don't know if it's appropriate to link to things that aren't posts, or relevant to link to things that are (OMG) almost 5 years old.

It may seem unnecessary, but I would also put a trigger warning on every link in this post, and a "may make your head explode" warning on anything written by nellorat (though obviously not everyone agrees with me on that).

I agree so hard on this that it overcomes everyone who doesn't. Seriously, but I knew fail was coming because: 1) Nellorat-- but also because on the previous entry: 2) This is a price I am completely willing to have paid, though, and I actually do understand a lot of the areas, in me and in others, fairly well. See you next entry for a few ideas I think were held by "the other side" and I think are particularly erroneous and/or hurt-causing.

I am a bit bored of everybody expressing frustration with

nellorat. OK, she was very vocal in the early part of the thread and said some annoying things, but that's so the least important thing that has come out of the whole discussion.

A couple of dissenting posts that I think are more worth considering:
Letters from Gehenna: Frameworks and Fireworks
Trinityva: I can't really comment on this...
Both provide intelligent and thoughtful and non-derailing approaches to the question of sexual violence outside the context of male abusers versus female victims. They're challenging pieces, and probably not the right thing for people to read if they're drawn to

cereta's post as the first ever safe space they've been able to use to talk about the gendered nature of rape. But for people who want to take the discussion to a more sophisticated level, I think these posts have a lot more content than

nellorat intentionally misunderstanding things.
