How does one linkspam? I mean, how do you find all the links? I use the service but wouldn't have the faintest idea how to find them all myself. I always seem to be late to the game - I've never seen a linkspammed site I'd already visited before it was linkspammed.
It's a combination of looking at your circle (in this case I would read the subscribers to the community); posting links that other people tell you about; following links; and using a search engine and some key terms. At the moment the standard choice seems to be Icerocket blog search.
Rightoh. I have your comment in my email and, at the moment, I have not *nearly* enough spoons[1], but should I be blessed with some in the future, I could spend a few of the spare ones on trying to linkspam. (Yes, I am assuming RF09 will run and run and run until RF10 takes over).
[1]No, I'm not appropriating the spoon theory, I'm chronically ill and mean it in the original sense.
One method is to read the posts listed, and then check their friendslists & some of the journals of the people who comment on them. Another is googling, although that's limited; many fannish journals aren't googleable.
Searching by LJ interests gets people listed in order of recent posts; sometimes that helps. (Doesn't much help on DW; the interests circles are too small yet.)
I think making this a community effort is a very good idea (I regularly put together a big linkspost for a professional-stuff blog I write for, so I know how draining it can be!)
I think it'd be a good idea to add nahrat's 13th Child tag to this first linkspam, so people who are coming in late can easily find the earlier linkspams.
And I know I said thank you elsewhen for donating so much labor, but again: thank you.
